A clear board begins here.
1. Find matching free tiles
This is Mahjong Solitaire, a single-player matching puzzle. Select two tiles with the same symbol. Each tile must have no tile covering it and at least one open side, left or right. The Dcode Nexus logo tiles match one another.
2. Open up the layers
Removing pairs reveals new tiles. Think about what a move will uncover before choosing between several matching tiles. Every generated board has at least one solution when dealt; a different sequence can still lead to a dead end.
3. Pause and return
Pause completely covers the board and stops the active timer. Restart resumes the same game. New Game deals a different board. Leaving the tab pauses play automatically.
4. Practice or compete
Hints and undo are available in practice. Using them during a ranked game switches it to practice. Competitive rankings use server elapsed time, including pauses; the on-screen active timer excludes pauses. Complete your public profile and avatar before ranked play.
Make it comfortable
You can reduce effects or turn them off. Your browser’s reduced-motion preference is respected. Use your keyboard to focus free tiles and Enter or Space to select.
