The Compact option uses 88 tiles across three layers. It has fewer pairs than the 144-tile Classic Turtle, while keeping the same rule: matching tiles need a clear top and an open left or right side.
Choose Compact when you want a shorter practice session or a less crowded view on a small screen. A smaller board does not make every choice obvious. You can still block a useful route by removing the wrong copies of a symbol.
Keep comparisons fair
Dcode separates rankings by board size. A time from an 88-tile game should not compete directly with a time from a 144-tile game. The board-size selector on the leaderboard lets you compare like with like.
Switching size starts a fresh practice game. If you have already made moves, read the replacement confirmation before continuing. Choose the board that suits the time and attention you have available. Open the game.
