What to do when four matching tiles are visible

Four copies create a choice

Each identity appears four times in a full Dcode deal. When several copies become visible, the first available pair may not be the most useful one to remove.

Inspect the positions. Does one copy cover another useful tile? Is another copy at the end of a tightly blocked row? A match can be legal while leaving the remaining copies difficult to reach.

Compare the consequences

Imagine removing each possible pair. You do not need to calculate the entire game. Simply compare the next exposed tiles and the side openings you would create.

If all four copies are free, removing both pairs may be straightforward, but still notice whether other layers will open between the matches. In practice you can use Undo to compare the result of a different pairing. Over time, this habit makes repeated faces feel like information rather than clutter. Try the planning guide.
