Blocked tiles are disabled. This reduces accidental selection, but it does not remove the need to inspect the stack. The tile's accessible label identifies its face and whether it is free.
Work one pair at a time
Select a free tile, then find its matching free partner. You can clear a selection by activating that same tile again. After a match removes the focused tile, focus returns to a remaining available tile so you can continue.
Pause and Restart are keyboard controls too. The pause cover removes the hidden board from interaction until play resumes. If a browser extension changes keyboard shortcuts, test the controls in practice before attempting a ranked game. Review the controls.
