Match the face, not just the glow

Dcode uses traditional-looking numerals, dots, bamboo marks and honour symbols. Blue and green glows help separate the suits, while orange keeps characters and honours close to the site's theme.

Colour is a useful shortcut, but it is not the matching rule. Two blue tiles can carry different dot counts. Two orange tiles can show different characters or honours. Inspect the symbol before completing a pair.

Build a reliable scan

Try searching one family at a time. First look for a familiar character, then count dots or bamboo marks, and finally check the honour faces and Dcode logos. Change the order when another face is easier to recognise.

The logo is an actual tile identity rather than an advertisement. It matches another free logo tile. For players who find some colours difficult to distinguish, the shapes and accessible tile labels provide additional information. Learn what makes a tile free.
