Height can hide useful information

Tiles near the top can cover parts of several tiles beneath them. Removing a high pair can change more than the visible face at that position, so the centre deserves a careful scan.

A free upper tile still needs a matching free partner. Avoid choosing solely by height: sometimes an edge match creates the only useful route to that partner.

Predict one change

Before removing a high pair, name one area you expect to open. After the match, inspect that area before searching the whole board again. This keeps your attention on the consequences of your own move.

The game's stepped colours and bevels help show height, but overlapping faces can still be demanding on a small display. Zoom if necessary, and use reduced effects if glow makes the edges harder to read. A comfortable view is part of playing thoughtfully. Adjust your phone setup.
